Having trouble with your putting?  Here are some tips to help you read golf greens correctly.

When reading your putt, looking between your ball and the hole won’t always serve you best. The first information taken when reading your putt should be recognizing the high point of the green. If water were to pour off the green, the area in which it would drain from would be recognized as the high point. After the high point has been determined, find the lowest area in the green. Now that the high and low points have been acknowledged, your putt will always break in relation to those areas. If you are reading a putt and are unsure, rely on this information to make up your mind; this will ultimately help you make more putts. Making putts can vary no matter the golfer or ability but giving yourself the best opportunity to make each one should be the main objective.
