Antelope Valley Golf – Re-Opening Update

Re-Opening Update

Hi everyone!

I hope you are all staying safe and healthy.

I’m happy to announce that starting July 1st, we are opening Rancho Sierra an additional day each week, so Rancho Sierra will also be open Tuesdays!  Both courses will continue to be open from 7am to 7pm.  Rancho Sierra will be open Tues-Sun (closed Mondays), while Desert Aire will be open Fri-Tues (closed Wed and Thurs).  We hope that we can open Desert Aire an additional day as well, but are unable to say when at this time.

For our monthlies, you can use your monthly at the sister course on the days your home course is closed.  For example, if you have a monthly at Desert Aire, you can use your monthly at Rancho Sierra on Wednesdays and Thursdays until the course reopens for those days.  This is true for both golf and range monthlies.  If you would like to play at both courses at any time, you can switch your monthly to a joint monthly.  Also, monthlies can continue to be put on hold for any reason as long as you tell us in advance (in case of travel) or at your earliest convenience (in case of injury or illness).

The following policies remain in effect:

  • To ensure physical distancing, please make a tee time reservation in advance.  We prefer that you book online as it can be hectic for the starter to check in golfers as well as answer calls.  When you book your tee time online, you will have the option to pre-pay for your green fees/cart rental, which will also minimize check in times.  Click here to book your tee time.  Note that you cannot book online the same day as the reservation.
  • Tee times remain at 10 minute intervals and are limited to four persons, per the LA County requirements.
  • We are now allowing more than one person at a time in each clubhouse, but limited to three at Desert Aire and five at Rancho Sierra.  Please line up outside, a minimum of six feet apart.
  • Only one group at a time on any tee box.
  • The driving ranges are open, with a limited number of bays allowed.  We have sectioned bays at Rancho Sierra so the number of golfers who can use the range at a time will be restricted.
  • Please avoid touching flagsticks.
  • Ball washers have been removed/covered.
  • Water coolers at Rancho Sierra have been removed.  You can purchase water in the clubhouse, as well as other canned or bottled drinks.
  • At Desert Aire, bunker rakes have been removed.  Please smooth your divot and tracks with your foot.
  • When you complete your round, please continue to maintain physical distancing and vacate the premises at your earliest convenience.
  • We are still not allowing official group play, including Divot Diggers, Mens or Ladies Clubs, Skins or Clinics.  We apologize, but we need to do our part to keep golf courses open.
  • Clubhouse seating remains closed.
  • We will continue to sanitize touchpoints frequently throughout the day.

We reserve the right to change this list as needed.  The county is allowing us to open with the understanding that we will do what we can to minimize the spread of COVID-19.  We appreciate your patience and hope you and yours remain safe and healthy.

Thank you for your support!
