Welcome!

Hi everyone,

I’m back!  The family and I went on a trekking vacation to Everest Base Camp.  Part of the time we slogged up (and down) the mountain in the rain and I thought of all of you in dry, 100 degree plus weather!  I was so envious!

But we had a great time and had an amazing experience.  The views were something else.  However, I missed all of you and am happy to be back!  Thanks to Shirley, Jann, and Christy for covering for me.  They did a fantastic job!

New Twilight/Nine Holes Plus Hours

The weather may still be warm, but the days are already starting to shorten.  Therefore, starting tomorrow Oct 1st,

  • twilight starts at 1pm,
  • nine holes plus begins at 3pm.

Have you tried booking your tee time online?  Our online reservation system is a fast and simple way of scheduling your tee time 24/7.  Book two months out in advance for golf or footgolf, regular or senior, twilight or nine holes plus, we can handle it all!  No credit card required, simply schedule your tee time online and pay at the course 15 minutes prior to your scheduled tee time.

News from the Clubhouse

Well this month is almost over and with Michele the owner gone on her vacation we haven’t fallen apart. The ladies inside Jann and Christy have stepped up and gone the extra mile to make sure we are organized and the club house looks clean and well stocked. As for me I can’t wait for her return so I can go back to my normal hours. Lol We have certainly missed her but I think we managed quite well for this month of Sept. The outside guys are trying to stay ahead of any problems that may occur, if you see something outside you think needs some attention please let us inside know so we can pass it on to Jose or Pedro.

If you haven’t seen our golf teacher Paul Do Canto around it is because he is also our night water person so he comes to work around 3-4 for lessons and then starts work around 7 if you would like a lesson please take his business card in the pro shop or let one of us starters know and we will get the information to him.

The heat has finally ended no more high 90’s and the mornings are quite cool like in the lower 40’s I am so glad! We are also opening and closing later in the mornings we are opening around 6:30 now and closing at 7:00.

We have plenty of refreshments inside the club house so you can always come out and play and then come inside where it is cool with your friends and have some cool refreshments and something to eat. We have plenty of Beer most flavors and hot dogs, polish dogs, chili and sandwiches. Snacks candy cookies and chips even ice cream.

We are always trying to carry what a golfer would need to help them with their game if you would like to see us carry something in the pro shop please stop in and let us know if we can get it at a decent price and bring it in to sell we will do our best to get that said item Don’t forget to practice a little goes a long way. A lesson also helps when stuck with the same problem swing over and over again “The back is not made to do the things we do when we play the only thing worse is the rodeo”

Tips from Our Pro

Streamlining Your Weight Shift For An Effortless Swing

There are three key areas in weight shift during a golf swing and understanding how your body’s weight moves at each one is key to having a swing which will repeat with consistency.

1) A great swing begins with proper posture/grip/alignment and your weight distributed evenly between both legs/feet.

2) As you take the club back and to the top of your backswing your weight should move onto your right leg/foot. You are now fully loaded and ready to trigger your downswing.

3) During your downswing and through…The weight moves from the right leg/foot to your impact position where you should feel approx 70% of the weight shifting to your left side…Continuing until 95% of your total weight is balanced on the outer sole of your left foot.

Knowing these 3 points during a swing will allow you to hit through the ball – Make crisp strikes plus have a more consistent ball flight of long & straight….And who doesn’t like that?
